Scott has been quite busy working with Panache Editorial and Grey Advertising on TV spots for Olive Garden. Dan Aron from No Soap has brought in lots of projects this year including a record and mix for Eggland’s Best, Banquet, Quest Diagnostics and General Mills Cereals, engineered by Scott Cannizzaro. No Soap teamed up with Matt Hill from DDB NY for Exxon Mobil, Esso and Merck, all recorded and mixed by Scott. No Soap also teamed up with Chris Wurst from Leo Burnett for Poptarts, recorded and mixed by Scott and Dan Brennan. Marjorie Clarke from Uniworld has been in working with Dan and Scott on spots for Ford Radio. Hill Holliday has brought us Dunkin' Donuts, Shields, Liberty, Chili's, CVS, JetBlue, Smuckers and Safe Co since the new year. Zeke Bowman and his crew from Mullen made the trip to NYC to work on TV spots for Zappos. Danny Pelligrinni from Toth Brand Imaging has had projects this year for Chicos and Amazon. Meghan Gildart from VIA came in to record and mix a Radio spot for Honey Brown Beer with Scott. Scott also recorded the lovely Sarah Jessica Parker for a TV spot for HP with Lime Studios in California!

Over the winter Scott Cannizzaro has been busy working on TV spots for Olive Garden with Ellen Boldis and Barry Maross of Panache Editorial along with Steve Hafner, Kim Shunk and Adam Seely from Grey Advertising. Marjorie Clark from Uniworld Group has been in working on spots for Ford, Lincoln and PBS. Dan Aron of No Soap has been back in working on Quest Diagnostics and FoamCo, while Dan and Matt Hill from DDB just completed another spot for Exxon Mobil. Scott has also been working on TV and Radio spots for Danny Pelligrini and Thatcher Adams at Toth Brand Imaging for Chico’s and Soma Lingerie. Scott also mixed the new 5.1 Army National Guard Cinema spot for LM&O Advertising.

Scott Cannizzaro worked with John Cullum and Lily Rabe and the film All Good Things, as well as Heroes with Zeljko Ivanek, and Inside the Box with Kim Raver.

Airspeed - “Sometimes Alternates Fly” music

I finished up the production of “Sometimes Alternates Fly” for Stephen Force of the Airspeed aviation podcast. Steve sent me his 10 minute drum/bass/guitar groove that he recorded for his show. (see Thunderbird groove takes shape and Thunderbird groove progresses ) After some editing, I added some electric and 12 string guitars, keyboards and some percussion. The mix was done at my home studio, and mastering at Soundtrack New York.

Boogieman: The Lee Atwater Story

I’ve finished mixing “Boogieman: The Lee Atwater Story” for Stefan Forbes of Interpositive Media. The film was finished in time for both the Democratic National Convention and Republican Nation Convention, as part of the Impact Film Festival. Stefan did a great job of presenting interviews and archival footage in a way that provides a great insight into the modern political arena.

Brave Combo at Avatar Studios

I was in the studio with Murray Weinstock and Brave Combo Monday. We cut basic tracks for “Bow Wow Polka” for an upcoming sequel to the “Tails Of The City” project. In the studio were Carl Finch on piano, guitar, accordion and vocals. Also, Jeffrey Barnes on saxophone, Danny O’Brien on trumpet, Arjuna Contreres on drums and Ann Marie Harrop on bass. The pictures are before we got set up. The band was slamming and totally pro. Since I’ve been at Soundtrack for nearly 17 years, it’s nice to get out once in a while!

Avatar Studios, formerly known as the The Power Station, is a recording studio at 441 West 53rd Street in Manhattan, New York City.
The building was originally a Con Edison power plant; but after a period of vacancy, it was used as a sound stage for the television game show Let's Make a Deal. In 1977, it was rebuilt as a recording studio by producer Tony Bongiovi and gained renown as one of the finest acoustic environments for recording in the world. It has won several studio industry awards over the years, including a "Les Paul Award for Special Lifetime Achievement" in 1991.
The complex was renamed Avatar Studios (under the Avatar Entertainment Corporation) in May 1996.
Major acts who have recorded there include Aerosmith, Marc Anthony, B-52's, Tony Bennett, Jon Bon Jovi (who actually worked there in his youth), Devo, Duran Duran, Dream Theater, Bruce Springsteen, John Lennon, Bernadette Peters, Neil Young, Harry Connick, Jr., Iggy Pop, Journey, George Michael, Betty Carter, Sum 41, John Mayer, Moby, Vanessa Williams, Blondie, Porcupine Tree, Chic, Joan Jett, David Bowie, The Last Shadow Puppets, and the band Power Station, which was named after the studio itself.
